Arabic: Tenth Most Common Internet Language

In 2006, Arabic surpassed Russian as the 10th most common language among internet users. The remaining nine in descending order are: English, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, German, French, Portugese, Korean, and Italian. There are 29 million Arabic internet users (total Arab population of about 250 million) compared to 327 million English. The fraction of users compared to the total population is low, to be sure, but there were less than 3 million Arabic internet users in 2000!

A good sign? I hope so.

Well.. I don't know.. I guess it is a good sign..
Except, my fear is that a substantial percentage are simply logging on to pron sites..
(I know this might be too pessimistic.. but the way things are going, if I see light at the end of the tunnel, I would be convinced it is an oncoming train!... and from my experiences, it usually is!..)
